December 26: Feast of St. Stephen the Protomartyr.
In 415 A.D., a priest named Lucianus had a dream that revealed the location of St. Stephen's remains at Beth Gamal, from where they were translated (or relocated) to the Church of Hagia Sion December 26, 415 A D., making it the date for the feast of St. Stephen. The relics were later translated once more, to Rome, by Pope Pelagius II during the construction of the basilica of St Lawrence "outside the Walls," where they were placed alongside the relics of St. Lawrence; St. Lawrence's relics moved miraculously to one side to make room for those of St. Stephen.
