Menology Entry for January 7:

Feast of the Return of the Child Jesus from Egypt; 
The Holy Martyrs of Odense Saints Canute or Knut IV of Denmark & Companions: "In the year 1086 after the Lord's incarnation in the town of Odense the Danes' illustrious king & first martyr, Canute, had to pay for his zeal for the Christian religion & his deeds of righteousness in the church that was dedicated to the holy martyr St. Albanus that shortly before, by himself, was translated from England to Denmark as he, after the confession of his sins, was strengthened with the sacraments of the Lord's body, & in front of the altar, with his arms widespread on the earth in the form of a cross, had been stung with a lance on July 10 & the sixth weekday suffered death for Christ & went to rest in Heaven. Killed were also in the same place with him his brother by his name & by martyrdom's grace Benedictus & his 17 fellow-fighters, namely Asmund, Blakke, Sven, Agge, Thurgot, Bernhard, Gudmer, æskil, Toke, Paine, Atte, Sune, Rosten, Milo, Radulf, another Thurgot & Vilgrip. Like all of these by God's grace has been companions with their king & lord in martyrdom's sufferings, thus they should after their merit be partakers with him in consolation & reward;" the liturgical feast of King St. Canute IV is set for January 19; 

The Holy Martyrs of Heraclea, Saints Felix & Januarius; 

St. Lucianus, Martyr, a priest of the church of Antioch who was distinguished for his learning and eloquence. He suffered at Nicomedia for the confession of Christ, in the persecution of Galerius Maximian, and was buried at Helenopolis, in Bithynia. His praises have been proclaimed by St. John Chrysostom; 

St. Clerus, Deacon & Martyr, who, for having professed faith in Christ, was seven times tortured, a long while kept in prison, and at length ended his martyrdom by decapitation, at Antioch; 

St. Julianus, Martyr at Cagliari in Sardinia, a Count (Comes) in the Roman imperial government, the circumstances of his martyrdom have been lost; 

St. Crispinus, Bishop of Pavia, Confessor; 

St. Nicetas, Bishop in Dacia, or what is now called Romania, he made fierce & barbarous nations humane & meek by preaching the Gospel to them; 

St. Theodore (Theodorus), a saintly monk in Egypt, who flourished in the time of Constantine the Great & mentioned by St. Athanasius, in his biography of St. Anthony the Great; 

St. Raymond of Pennafort, at Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain, of the Order of Preachers, celebrated for sanctity and learning, his liturgical festival is kept on January 23;
