Menology Entry for January 9:
Feast of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno or Our Father Jesus the Nazarene or the Black Nazarene, of Quiapo in the Church of St. John the Baptist, also called the Shrine of Jesus the Nazarene, at Quiapo, in the vicinity of Manila, in the Islas Filipinas, a statue carved in Nueva Espana from wood that naturally turns dark, or which was charred in a fire while being taken to the Filipinas, today being the translation, & enshrinement, of this miraculous image, January 9, 1606 A.D., from its previous residence in the Church of St. Nicholas of Tolentino (link);
Feast of Madonna de Fiumarola or Our Lady From The River, also called Our Lady of the Transtiber or Trastevere, or Madonna de Noantri or Madonna del Carmine: celebrating the discovery of a cedar wood statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary floating in the River Tiber, found by Corsican fishermen settled in the Trastevere Rione, Jan. 9, 1535 A.D. in the wake of a terrible storm; the sacred icon is now kept in the church of St. Agatha in Trastevere (link), but is processed on boats in the River Tiber every July, as part of the "Noantri Feast," or "Festa de Noantri" which means "the festival of our people," of the people of Trastevere, as opposed to "the other people," Romans from Rome proper, to local churches, such as the parochial Church of St. Chrysogenus, the Church of Our Lady in the Trastevere (link), the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Traspontina, which means "Across the Bridge," etc. (link); she is called "del Carmine" due to a conflation with Our Lady of Mount Carmel, which is due to the fact that, from 1535, until 1909, the sacred icon was housed in the Oratory of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, which was demolished in 1909 to create a road (link);
Feast of the Apparition of Our Lady of Ansam, at Ansam in the North Tirol in Austria, Jan. 17, 1797 A.D., also called Our Lady of Mercy & of Clemency, there is absolutely no explanation for why it is observed or should be observed Jan. 9; I suspect that someone has confused a local feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary observed Jan. 9, in Austria, with Our Lady of Ansam, & others have blindly followed, in "Chinese Whispers"! (link);
