Our Lady of Liberation, Nossa Senhora do Livramento, Livrant Saibinn, Our Lady of Goa, Nossa Senhora da Goa, Goencem Saibinn, our Gracious Mother, intercede with our Lord God Jesus Christ, for your & our beloved Goa, Rome of the East, overrun by, & trod down under, the jackboots of the Forces of Darkness, & lying prostrated under these visceral Enemies of God & of His beloved Goa, & our larger national homeland, the Concan, deliver us from evil, from our twin benightments, & enslavements, the Occupation, & of the Whore Church, enlarge & liberate us from our spiritual & material captivity, as you had done before, delivering Goa from the Enemies of God & of His beloved Goa, from the Forces of Darkness, the Enacim, Amalecites, Canaanites, Philistines, Ammonites, Moabites, Etc., of our time & place: Paganism, Idalcao, the Dutch, English, Marathas, Mughals, the bandit Tipoo, son of Hyder, the Bonsales & Ranes, etc. Vindicate, & restore Mother Goa, O beloved Mother of God! We make this prayer through the same Lord God Jesus Christ, thy Son, Who is, in unity with God the Father, & God the Holy Ghost, one God, forever & ever, Amen!

ROMAN MARTYROLOGY 1914: 

At Jerusalem, the birthday of St. Simeon, bishop and martyr, who is said to have been the son of Cleophas, and a relative of the Saviour according to the flesh. He was consecrated bishop of Jerusalem after St. James, the brother of our Lord, and in the persecution of Trajan, after having endured many torments, he consummated his martyrdom. All who were present, even the judge himself, were astonished that a man one hundred and twenty years of age could bear the torment of crucifixion with such fortitude and constancy. (Link)

At Ostia, the holy martyrs Maximus and his brother Claudius, and Praepedigna, the wife of Claudius, with her two sons Alexander and Cutias, all of an illustrious family. By the order of Diocletian, they were apprehended and sent into exile. Afterwards being burned alive, they offered to God the sweet- smelling sacrifice of martyrdom. Their remains were cast into the river, but the Christians found them and buried them near that city.

In Africa, the holy martyrs Lucius, Sylvanus, Rutulus, Classicus, Secundinus, Fructulus, and Maximus.

At Constantinople, the holy bishop Flavian, who for having defended the Catholic faith at Ephesus, was buffeted and kicked by the partisans of the impious Dioscorus, and being banished, ended his life within three days.

At Toledo, St. Helladius, bishop and confessor.

OTHER SAINTS: 

Holy Martyrs of Kaiyang or Kuytsheu or Kaichou in the province of Guizhou in China, Saints John Peter Neel, John Zhang Tianshen, Martin Wu Xuesheng, & John Chen Xianheng, murdered Feb. 18, 1862 by a mob of fanatical followers of an outlawed Luoist sect. A fifth person, St. Lucia, was murdered the next day. Beatified by Pope St. Pius X, not yet canonized by a Catholic Pope.

Menology Entry for December 16: (Crowned icon of Our Lady of the Raft). Our Lady of Almadia , Spanish, or  Madonna della Madia , Italian, for " Our Lady  of the Raft:" «Bishop Romuald  began work on a new Cathedral in the city of Monopoli in Apulia in Italy in 1107 A.D., but it was halted for the lack of roof beams. In the early morning of December 16, 1117 A.D., Our Lady thrice appeared to a parishioner Mercurius, at night, instructing him to advise Romuald that the needed wood beams had arrived in the harbor, & each time, Romuald dismissed Mercurius as deluded; a 4th time, Mercurius visited the harbor, & saw a raft floating, & once again rushed to Romuald, insisting that he had now himself seen the wood in the harbor. A Greek Icon of Our Lady was found on the raft.
